The Akzo Nobel Sports Complex is located on approximately 92 acres of land. The park consists of 10 soccer fields, an 18 hole disc golf course, playground, 4 softball diamonds, covered dugouts, bleachers, and access to the Mountain Bay Trail.
The Barney Williams Park is the oldest park in the Village of Howard. The park is a 5.5-acre facility that contains a practice soccer field, full size soccer field, playground equipment, and picnic table.
The Meadowbrook Park is roughly 91 acres in size. The Park is a major outdoor recreation area in central Howard. The Meadowbrook Park site has varied terrain, vegetation, and consists of gently sloping open areas, wetlands, wooded lowlands, and rolling hills. The park features a rather large picnic and play area, access to Lancaster Brook that runs west to east through the park, and has an extensive trail system. The main trail is approximately 1.25 miles of paved trail. The Meadowbrook Park also has playground equipment, a full size basketball court, and fenced baseball diamond with dugouts and bleachers.
Special Events
The Village of Howard holds a special community event usually in the month of August. On the first day there is a Movie in the Park night where a movie is shown on a 25 foot screen. The second day includes an annual tortoise and hare prediction walk/run, community festival, magic show, and battle of the bands.
